Riding in Style...
I recently found this black body suit online! I fricken love it! I always have a hard time picking out what shirt to wear with high waisted jeans. Not only does this save time, but it’s so easy to style and looks good with everything. I have been wearing it all the time and adding this half moon necklace to wear with it. I got it on Etsy for I think $30. It was a little pricey, but it is Sterling Silver which means I can shower with it- #timesaver!
I've had my eye on a pair of Marc Fischer boots for a long long time, but never purchased them because they were too expensive. However, I was looking on NA-KD when I saw these boots that look identical for $35!! So I snagged them right away before they sold out! I always am cautious of buying expensive seasonal wear items because I don't wear them as much. So it's hard for me to invest money on an item when I'm not wearing it year round. Safe to say, I felt a little better spending $35 instead of $200. As for this belt, I also purchased it with the bodysuit. Although it's cute, it is really cheap and not very good qualtity so I wouldn't recommend it. But, I will link a few similar styles from some better brands.
Hope you are having a good day! I’ve been beyond busy lately with school and work. Many of you know I am taking 20 units this semester which was tough to psych myself up for, however, I’m excited to see how much I can push myself. I have been challenging myself to use every second of the day productively, whether it's completing an assignment or replying to an email with my 15 minutes break between classes or reviewing some of the German I have been learning.
It has been hard finding the right balance between taking care of my body both physically and mentally and pushing myself to keep working hard. Last night, I wanted to go get some energy out and go climbing with my friends, but decided to go catch up on some of my English writing assignments I am behind on. Part of me wanted so bad to just forget about my work and let loose, but the other side of me wants to keep striving to do well in my classes.
Also, uh, is anyone else terrible at telling people no? I am so bad at this. Even if I REALLY don’t want to do something, I don’t know why, but I always say yes to people. This semester, however, I have forced myself to start making decisions that will relieve stress or just simplify things a little more. I had to stop teaching three of my fiddle students because things were getting too complicated to work around and schedule. I felt terrible telling them that I couldn’t teach. Even, if I just want to go hang out with friends, all of me wants to and go have fun for an hour or two, but again, I have had to say no a few times which has been really difficult.
I just had my first midterm yesterday. I always get so so so stressed out on my first midterm, no matter what class. I was studying for it endlessly and I think it went really well, but now I have two more (one on Monday for Calculus and the other on Tuesday, for Biology). But, after that… on Wednesday it is my BIRTHDAY! Yay! Having something to look forward to helps me push through strong towards the finish line. I know this is only the beginning, but hopefully I can keep this mindset until the end of this semester.
Hope you all have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
