Summer Stripes...

Outfit Details-

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend-- I had such a fun time with my friends and family. Saturday and Sunday, I went to the beach with my younger sister and dog, went to In-n-out with Nils, took pictures in Jack London square, had a BBQ with friends, and then to finish it off went to Golden Gate Fields to watch the horse races for dollar day! All in all, it was a fun and eventful weekend filled with lots of new memories!

Now that its Monday, I’ve started to get back into my “real-life” daily tasks. I’m directing a summer music camp so I’ve got a lot of emails and logistical things I still need to work out before I head on vacation with my fam. So with vacation on the horizon, I've been keeping my eye out for new summer apparel that I finally found during Nordstrom's Half Annual sale!

As many of you know, I have been obsessed with the color red lately. Since most of my outfits are neutral, red has been a fun way to incorporate pops of color into my outfit. After endless searching and swooning over the Nordstrom sale, I picked up three items- red Converse, a pair of distressed jeans, and this striped blazer. I’m a sucker for any pair of jeans that are tight and have a bit of distressing. After one of my friends recommended this particular pair, I decided to branch out of my usual Topshop Jamie jeans and give them a go! I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! The first couple times I wore them they were SO uncomfortably stiff! But, after a few days, they molded to my legs and now I have worn them for five days straight… I’m not kidding! As for these red shoes, I'm still working on breaking them in... I'm holding on hope that they'll be comfortable because Converse is a pretty reliable brand that I’ve worn my whole life. Lastly, this blazer I was a little skeptical about only because of the length. I let it sit in my closet for a couple days because of my uncertainty and made myself try to style it a couple different ways before taking the tag off. All in all, I think this purchase was one of my favorites I've made all year!

Hope you enjoyed this look! Let me know what you think of it! Have a great Monday!
